Gaza Ceasefire: What’s Next?

With the recent ceasefire in Gaza, Arkrelief is mobilizing to significantly expand our humanitarian efforts. Since the escalation of conflict began on October 7, 2023, we have been providing lifesaving aid, and now, with increased access to affected areas, we aim to reach a larger population in desperate need of assistance.

The needs in Gaza are staggering. Our teams are focused on delivering:

Food Aid: Distributing essential food supplies to families who have lost everything.

Financial Assistance: Providing cash support to help families meet immediate needs and rebuild their lives.

Basic Supplies: Ensuring access to hygiene products, clothing, and other necessities that are critical for daily living.

As families begin to return to their communities, they are confronted with the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives amidst widespread destruction and uncertainty.
Arkrelief is committed to being there every step of the way, offering vital support to families as they navigate this difficult transition.

Gaza Update

Since the conflict escalated on October 7, the toll has been devastating:

Fatalities: At least 61,709 people have been reported killed, including over 17,492 children, a heart breaking loss for the community.

Injuries: More than 111,693 individuals have sustained injuries, many of whom require urgent medical care.

Missing Persons: Over 14,222 people are currently unaccounted for, leaving families in anguish as they await news of their loved ones.

As we look to the future, Arkrelief is determined to scale up our efforts. We are working closely with local partners to assess the evolving needs on the ground and to ensure that our response is both effective and compassionate. Our goal is to restore hope and dignity to the people of Gaza as they begin to heal and rebuild in the aftermath of this tragic conflict.

Together, we can make a difference. Your support is crucial in helping us provide the assistance that so many desperately need.

What Ark Relief is Doing for Muslim Widows

Ark Relief is actively working in Pakistan, Yemen, Syria, Gaza, Bangladesh, and various regions of Africa. We provide ongoing support to hundreds of widows through food assistance and financial aid. By sponsoring a widow with Ark Relief, you can add to your good deeds and earn a place in Jannah.

When you sponsor a widow, you will receive regular updates on her and her children’s well-being. Additionally, you have the option to make extra donations whenever you wish, especially during Ramadan and Eid.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“The one who takes care of a widow or a poor person is like a ‘Mujahid’ fighting in the way of Allah…”

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Gaza: Survived the War, But Facing Death by Hunger

The crisis in Gaza has reached unimaginable depths—war, violence, destruction, and genocide have ravaged the region. While more than 45,000 lives have been tragically lost to bombs and bullets, thousands more are now confronting the grim reality of death from thirst, starvation, and disease. This is not just a statistic; it represents families, children, and entire communities hanging by a thread.

Will you remain a mere observer as this humanitarian catastrophe unfolds? At Arkrelief, we refuse to stand idle. Our commitment to the people of Gaza is unwavering, and we will continue our efforts tirelessly until our last breath. We call upon every brother and sister to join us in this critical mission. Do not turn your back on Gaza; do not turn your back on Palestine. Your donations of Sadaqah and Zakat to the Gaza Emergency Appeal can help save lives and bring hope to those in desperate need.

The task ahead is monumental, far exceeding what we can imagine. We do not claim to offer comfort to every Gazan family, but we are determined to make a meaningful impact. Our approach focuses on helping one family at a time, providing them with the essentials needed for survival and dignity.

Our Actions

Food Distribution: We are actively delivering food packs to families facing severe hunger, ensuring they receive the nutrition necessary to survive.

Medical Assistance: Our teams are working to provide medical supplies and support to those suffering from injuries and illness exacerbated by the conflict.

Clean Water Access: We are implementing initiatives to ensure access to clean drinking water, vital for survival in these dire conditions.

With your generous support, Insha’Allah, we will do our utmost to rebuild the lives of families who have lost everything. Together, we can restore some semblance of hope and stability in Gaza. Your contributions can make a tangible difference—every donation counts, and every act of kindness matters. Join us in this fight for survival and dignity.

The Significance of Palestine in Islam

Isra and Mi’raj

Palestine is the location of the Prophet Muhammad’s miraculous night journey (Isra) and his ascension to the heavens (Mi’raj), as described in the Quran (Surah Al-Isra, 17:1).

Location of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque, situated in Jerusalem, holds the distinction of being the third holiest site in Islam. It served as the first Qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims before the Kaaba in Mecca took that role.

The First Qibla for Muslims

Palestine is home to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, which was the original Qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims before the Kaaba in Mecca was designated as the Qibla. This historical significance further enhances the sacredness of the land within Islamic tradition.

The Land of Prophets

Palestine is honored as the land of numerous prophets in Islam, including Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Sulayman (Solomon), and Isa (Jesus), peace be upon them all.

Save Lives with Your Sadaqah & Zakat

We are a UK-based international charity dedicated to relief and development. Guided by Islamic principles of compassion, generosity, and selflessness, our mission is to alleviate poverty and suffering globally. We operate under a 100% Zakat Policy, ensuring that every penny of your Zakat goes directly to those affected by poverty, conflict, and natural disasters.

Before contributing to our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Project, Food Appeal, Water Appeal, Gaza Emergency Appeal, Syria Emergency Appeal, Pakistan Floods Appeal, or any other Emergency Appeal, please remember to make the intention that your donation is for the sake of Allah first and to assist your fellow Muslim brothers and sisters second. This intention is crucial, as every act of worship we perform as Muslims should be done for the sake of Allah.

In addition to our emergency appeals, we are engaged in several remarkable projects that, Insha’Allah, will bring prosperity to many Muslim families around the world. You can donate your Sadaqah and Zakat to initiatives such as Build a Masjid, Livelihoods for the Poor, Sponsor a Widow, Sponsor an Orphan, Sponsor a Nikah, Donate a Sewing Machine, or support education projects by sponsoring a Hafiz, sponsoring a child’s education, or assisting young people in university and Islamic studies. Donate with confidence; Insha’Allah, every penny of your contribution is your Amanah, and we will strive to use it for those in need.

Every year, Muslims celebrate two significant seasons: Ramadan and the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. During these blessed times, we focus our efforts on pleasing Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى through good deeds. At Ark Relief, we provide you with a platform to engage in a vital act of worship: charity. In Ramadan, you can donate to the Ramadan Food Appeal, Ramadan Zakat Appeal, contribute your Fidyah, provide your Fitrana, and pay your Kaffarah for breaking an oath or fast, especially during the blessed nights of Laylatul Qadr. In Dhul Hijjah, we assist you in fulfilling your duty of performing Qurbani. Whatever cause you choose, do so with confidence, Insha’Allah.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever would love to be shaded in the shade of Allah, let him help someone in hardship or waive a loan.”
